Sara Carletto is a research fellow at the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences of University of Turin. She received the degree in Psychology in 2009 and the Ph.D. degree in Neurosciences in 2013, both from the University of Turin. Since 2012 she attended to various Mindfulness based courses. Since 2009 she collaborates with the University Psychosomatic and Psychoncology Service located at San Luigi’s Teaching Hospital in Orbassano (Turin, Italy), where she conducts research in the assessment and psychological treatment of comorbid mood disorders of patients with a primary somatic disease, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and cystic fibrosis. Since 2013 she has been working on several studies investigating the efficacy of Mindfulness Based Intervention (MBI) in the treatment of comorbid mood disorders in patients with somatic diseases. Since 2013 she has been conducting clinical assistance for national health service as a psychologist.
